Are You Crying, Yes...
An expressive interactive hoodie that causes you to cry when being comforted. It is an exaggerated representation of when someone asks you "Are you crying?" when it's already obvious that you are about to spew tears. It works by using two capacitive sensors - one on the arm and one on the shoulder - that trigger a peristaltic pump to drive water up a tube and displaying tears down a pair of glasses.

Start Crying...

The hoodie has increasing volumes of tears. When only the arm sensor is touched, the hoodie cries a little. When only the shoulder sensor is touched it cries a bit more. Finally, when they are both touched, the hoodie cries a lot. The levels of tears represent the process of giving in to a good cry when being comforted, and it gets to be experienced by both the cryer and the comforter.
